About Us
Wright Family Law Group isn’t your standard law firm. Since 2011, we’ve been the outlier. Our playbook actually solves the problems divorce, custody, and adoption cases throw at clients in Merrimack Valley, North Shore, and MetroWest. We don’t just talk about innovation; we build it into every case.
How do we do it? By looking beyond just the lawyer.
Instead of one attorney handling a client’s case, we bring together multiple professionals. They have experience in CPA/accounting, financial litigation and analysis, and complex discovery, all of which are crucial to crafting a strong case. In addition, we have an in-house Certified Divorce Coach/LICSW who provides one-on-one support for the emotional and mental toll that divorce and family restructuring can take.
By bringing together people with unique capabilities, we’ve rebuilt the family law experience from the ground up. We’ve made it the way it should be.

Whether it’s crafting solid prenuptial agreements, untangling complex spousal support disputes, or protecting you from an abusive spouse, our team can guide you forward. We also handle guardianship cases, most of which involve grandparents and great-grandparents who seek authority to care for their grandchildren when the parents cannot, as well as adoption cases.
What Our Many Satisfied Clients Say About Us
“What stood out most was how they balanced professionalism with genuine compassion. They were sharp, strategic, and clearly knew Massachusetts family law inside and out, but they also understood the emotional toll this process takes. Every step of the way, they explained things clearly, kept me informed, and fought for what was best for me and my family. … And in the end, not only did I come out with a fair outcome, I came out stronger, more confident, and finally able to breathe again.”

“What sets this firm apart is how they combine deep knowledge of Massachusetts law with real human compassion. They were sharp, strategic, and always one step ahead, but they never lost sight of what this meant for me as a person and as a parent. They kept me informed, answered every question, and made sure I understood what was happening at every stage. There were moments I felt like giving up, but they never did. They fought for me when I didn’t have the strength to fight for myself.”
– S.G., via Google
“I had a great experience. … Ellen was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and easy to communicate with throughout the entire process. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made a stressful situation much more manageable. I’m very grateful for her support and would absolutely recommend this firm to anyone in need of family law services.”

Why We Use a Team
People assume family lawyers just shuffle papers and argue in court. In reality, most attorneys try to do it all. They serve as litigator, accountant, discovery clerk, intake coordinator, paralegal, and sometimes, therapist.
And that just doesn’t work.
When one person runs the show, details get missed, decisions get delayed, and numbers get fuzzy. Maybe the house you’re fighting for gets overvalued, or your spouse’s business holdings slip through the cracks. Small mistakes become big problems, and your case pays the price.
Wright Family Law’s team-based structure is designed to prevent those pitfalls. Every case gets the right mix of professionals, not just whoever’s available, and they can include the following:
- A seasoned family law attorney
- Lawyers with accounting, real estate, and financial litigation background
- A paralegal and related case management support
- Personnel handling complex financial discovery and records tracing
- Non-legal support resources for client emotional and mental well-being
We engineered our process for consistency, real-time updates, and to keep chaos out of your case. It includes the following:
- Case-management tools
- Standardized workflows
- Templates
- Legal project boards
- Automation
- Resource libraries
- Responsible modern technology
Being state-of-the-art draws top legal talent to our practice, and we’re always seeking out others who want to be part of the future of family law.

When You Meet with Us
Your consultation is an opportunity to learn what our law firm can do for you and to understand everything about what may lie ahead. We will explain our service options, how we would approach your particular situation, the legal framework involved, and the next steps if you believe we are a good fit for your case.
You will be charged for your consultation. We do this because we invest real time in understanding your case, not just handing out generic advice. Free consultations from other firms often signal rushed or low-quality service. Your family and your life after a bitter divorce or a painful custody battle deserve better.
Before the consultation, you get a free 15-minute intake call. We use it to make sure we’re the right firm for your situation and to check for conflicts. You’ll get intake materials, fee info, and a checklist of what to bring.
The following questions are what most clients ask us at consultations; we encourage you to use them as your starting point:
FINANCIAL
- How much will my case cost?
- How do you bill?
- What is the retainer?
- What might child support or alimony look like for me?
- Does your law firm have experience with the financial issues in my case?
- Do I really need a prenuptial agreement?
OUR SERVICE
- Who will actually work on my case?
- What work is handled by an attorney versus a paralegal, financial specialist, or another Wright Family Law team member?
- Who handles complicated discovery?
- What resources are available when my problem isn’t purely legal?
- What will you need from me to keep my case moving?
- How will I know what is happening between court dates?
LAW AND LOGISTICS
- How long will my family law matter take?
- Do I have to go to court?
- Should I file first? Or should my spouse?
HOW LIFE WOULD CHANGE
- What happens to the house?
- Will I lose time with my children?
- What about grandparents’ rights?
- What does the adoption process entail?
Note: We do not promise outcomes or provide individualized case strategy before an attorney-client relationship exists.
